Meet "Land Hero", Astrid Peraza

Astrid is a passionate young leader dedicated to uplifting women and girls as changemakers for the environment.

Astrid will share her journey in education, her passion for environmental advocacy, and the critical role women play in driving sustainable change. She’ll also take us behind the scenes of her award-winning film, Women of the Mangroves, which tells the powerful story of the Mudecoop Cooperative—a group of women in a small fishing village in Costa Rica who united to transform their community in the face of adversity.
