International Women’s Day this month marks the 50th anniversary of fighting for progress. But today, the right to education is under threat. World leaders’ rejection of gender equality, armed conflicts, the disproportionate impacts of climate change, and continuing threats to young people’s safety and security are pushing the movement for girls’ education in the wrong direction.
